FlowAIR
(formerly CAT's - Compressed Air
Technology)
|
FlowAIR replaces "CATS", which stands for "Compressed Air
Technology systems.
FlowAIR responds marriage Flow (flow in
English) and AIR in French and English.
The union is also a pun
on Flower (flower in English), which refers to both the
ecological concept of our product to our logo.

MultiFlowAIR
(formerly MultiCATs)
-
the passenger
transport |
This is an
entirely new concept in urban public transport. The MultiFlowAIR is in the form of a train on wheels,
being made up of modules consisting of a driver
module and several transport modules. Each motorized module is fitted with a MDI Type-41
engine, with its own compressed air tanks and its
own programmable steering (electric/electronic)
system which precisely reproduces the steering
movements of the driver module and rigorously
follows its path. Each transport module is remote-controlled by wire
guidance from the driver module. Acceleration and braking of the modules are
coordinated with the driver module, and positioning
sensors between the modules ensure great precision
and the maintenance of the distance between each
module. The driver module contains all the controls of the
transport module:
door opening, lighting, heating,
air conditioning and more.
The driver and transport modules are equipped with
the technologies developed by MDI for their
non-polluting cars:
- Glued aluminium chassis.
- Double-skin laminated bodywork with a polyurethane
foam core.
- Single wire electrical circuit.
- The modules will be equipped with air suspension.

Complementary models are
being developed
for buses, trucks, farm machinery,
marine and light
aircraft applications

*Distributed
Manufacturing
Set up mini factories in regions where the car is used. No
transport, no parts suppliers. Everything will be made at the place of
sale
in production units. That is more profitable, more ecological than the big
factories of the large carmakers. |

MDI PRODUCTION PLANTS

The first manufacturing plant at
Carros Industrial Park, near Nice, France
- Turn- key franchise / license, modular and networked
-
Central facilities produce key components
(Engine Blocks, composite high pressure cylinders etc)
-
Point -of-sale decentralised plants produce vehicles
(Air Cars) & power generators (iPower)
- A 4,350 m2
plant can produce over 7,000 vehicles
per year
- Or 25,000 power
generators (= 300 MW of generation
capacity) per year

REFUELING THE COMPRESSED AIR
TANKS

|
 |
-
Turbines can be installed
alongside fast flowing rivers and air filling stations located on
river banks.
Imagine such air filling stations on Amazon in
Brazil, and air engine being used by river transport, think what
this would do for the environment and help preserve the jungles from
pollution!
|
 |
 |
Special pumps are needed to fill the
compressed air tanks.
Service station tyre pumps would not have a hope. They are mostly 1 to 2
bar and some up to 3 bar. The nearest is a scuba tank pump but it would be very slow.
Compressed Air is stored, at 300 bar, (4,500 psi)
in composite cylinders and delivered to the MDI engines
at 10 to 30 bar.
